MISSIONS

Missions Team at C.C.A.

It is recognized that every function of the church is actually missions; however, for the purpose of the missions program, missions at C.C.A. is limited to the following definition: Any endeavor outside our local congregation to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20) by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, making and training disciples, and relating to the whole need of mankind, spiritual and physical. This includes local, state, national, and international ministries (see Acts 1:8 and James 2:14-17).

Currently, the missions we actively support are: the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Anchorage, Greatland Christian Camp of Alaska, the Haitian Christian Mission. Church members are encouraged to support the missions through actions, not just monetary support. For example, we have sent groups to Haiti the past several years to preach, teach, and run medical clinics.

AROUND THE WORLD:

he Reyman's Mission helps with an orphanage and distributes Bibles in South Africa.  We have team that is leaving on the 5th of June to South Africa and Zimbawe.  They will be gone for 2 weeks.  Please keep them in your prayers.

Deryl and Kelly Titus visited Cambodia last spring to investigate how we might help the Rapha House - click for more information. Rapha House is committed to rescuing young girls who are victims of slavery and prostitution and providing them with a safe home where they can heal and receive an education. This will allow them to make good choices for their futures.

Lee Turner is a lifelong missionary who has worked with the muslim people for many decades, mainly working with the Urdu speaking peoples of Pakistan. Lee stops in to visit us from time to time. He is one of the most educated men you will ever meet regarding history and prophecy. If you get a chance to hear him speak, you will not regret it!

We sent a team to Haiti last April. The project this time was specifically for medical training and conducting some medical clinics in remote villages. Each time we have done this we have saved lives and brought relief. It is a timely and needed service in the name of Jesus.

The medical training was to be "part 2" from a first time experiment done by Carol Finch and Susan Petry 2 years ago. A group of 52 people from 26 villages around the country in Haiti attended. The goal was to provide a better trained person in each village to give 'first touch' medical assistance to their own people. This will add to that tremendous launch 2 years ago.
