Missionary Offering

On Sunday December 8th we will take a special offering during the worship service to bless 10 of our missionaries and Boise Bible College with a special monetary gift for Christmas. This will go directly to the missionary. Our goal is $4,000.

Volunteers Needed!

• Teacher to teach the elementary kids on Wednesday nights every other month. • Nursery workers for Sundays during worship service time at 11am. • Class helpers in elementary Sunday School classes. We need volunteers for Sunday and Wednesday classes. It can be a monthly basis for a 6 month period. All our teachers go through the membership class and all teachers and helpers get a background check. Please see Mandy if you can help!

Progressive Dinner

Happy Friday! This Sunday is the last day to sign up for the Progressive Dinner which is on October 13th. The progressive dinner is where we go to different people’s homes and eat appetizers at one house and then main course at a different house and dessert all together at the church. Mentorship Program at Bowman Elementary School

Mentoring is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children. Positive relationships with caring adults are critical to a child’s emotional, social, and academic well-being. At Bowman Elementary, the mentorship program involves working with a child or small group while building relationships through academic venues such as reading, writing, or math. Secret Sister

Can you keep a secret? All the ladies of the church are invited to participate in the Secret Sister Program. You will each be given a sister that you pray for and encourage. It’s wonderful to have someone pray for you daily and is there to send an encouraging note from time to time. In April we will have a “reveal” party, so keep your Secret Sister a secret till then. Engage Training

Happy Monday! Yesterday in worship Adam mentioned a way to become involved in the fight for justice is to do the Engage Training that Love Alaska offers. It is the first step to helping out with Priceless (who works with Human Trafficking victims in Anchorage) or Chosen (works with foster kids who have aged out of the system and need an adult mentor). Mentoring @ Bowman Elementary School this Fall

Two years ago we were approached about going into Bowman to help mentor kids. Bowman is a school with 3 different schools within it, a neighborhood program, an open optional program, and structured learning program from Pre-K through 6th grade.
