New Wednesday Night Training

Hello CCA, We all want to be effective for Christ and show our appreciation for the life He gives us. But so much of our time and our energy are sapped by our work. How can we find time to serve God when we have to work? What if Christians took their faith and work ethic to work? God wants to turn an audience into an army. God has made you for so much more than a chair on Sunday.…

Easter Impact

Hello Church, However you picture the Resurrection in your mind, we live a different life and with a different hope because of what Jesus has done for us. Our Easter time together was a great honor and tribute to Jesus. Thank you for being with us and the heartfelt worship you gave. It was a big day! And you are probably still sorting through all the thoughts generated from yesterday. That’s ok, Easter is a lot to wrap our brain…

Parking

Happy Snowy Friday! At least its warm and melting ? Remember to park in the North Lot on Sunday-this is the parking lot that faces O’Malley. That will give our guests plenty of room to park in the main lot. You can park there and use the back door to enter and go downstairs to breakfast or upstairs to worship. Or you can use the sidewalk and go in at the front door. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Building anticipation for Easter

Hello CCA family, The best day on the calendar for Christians is Easter. How are you prepping to make Easter a bigger celebration than Christmas? Kelly and I have decorated for Easter, been reading YouVersion devotionals, had people over to pray during our fasting week. I’m trying to view Easter through the eyes of a child so I have a fresh excitement and awe. Sunday I gave you 2 sentences to direct your Easter prayers: Praying for our people that…

fasting and prayer #2

Hello CCA, What has God been speaking to you as you speak to him? Last night we prayed with 2 other people and the comment was made that it “seems more powerful as more pray for the same thing.” Jesus suggested that might happen when he said “where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, I am in your midst”. When God’s people pray for the same thing there is unity and singular purpose. In this case praying for…

starting fasting and prayer #1

Hello CCA, We are using this week as a church-wide time of fasting and prayer for Easter. My wife and I started this morning and I am looking forward to this time with you. I encouraged you to call a group of friends to meet with you in your home sometime this week and pray together. I hope you will do that. Let me know of your plans. There is nothing regulatory about this. You can fast a meal and…

Fasting and Prayer week starts

Pick a time to fast and pray – one meal, one day, 3 days, all week? Pray that God’s will is accomplished and more people will turn to him and repent and be saved. Ask people to meet with you and pray.

Your assistance is needed tomorrow

Hello Church, Wade and Rob have been working long hours in the church duplex and can use about 6 people to help tomorrow beginning about 10:30. Washing walls, skim-coating walls, help holding sheetrock up so it can be screwed to the bathroom walls, foaming in holes and some other details that will give us progress. Good instructions will be given so don’t feel like those are things you can’t do. You will learn a new skill ? If you can…

Did you know? Would you do?

Hello CCA? Did you know: 1/3 of the 4 books of the “Gospels” (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) are on the last week of Jesus, as he goes to the Cross and Rises from the grave on Easter Sunday Morning? You will hear Jesus say, “This is why I came.” Matthew begins that week in chapter 20 verse 17 through the end of his book in 28.20 with Commissioning his Apostles to let the world know what He has done…
