AHG is going to be selling hand dipped chocolate strawberries just in time for Valentine’s Day. $10 for 6 strawberries decorated, boxed and ready to give to someone special or keep for yourself. All orders must be in by 5pm Thursday, February 9. Your strawberries will be ready for pick up on Saturday, Feb 11th at the church between 1:00-3:00pm.

CCA supports Rapha International who works in Cambodia, Thailand and Haiti to help victims of human trafficking find healing. The have safe houses, and kids programs in all 3 of those countries. Rapha just opened a safe house in Joplin, MS. Become familiar with what they do at rapha.org. Pray for the work they do. Human trafficking doesn’t just happen in 3rd world countries. Community Pregnancy Center is looking for women volunteers. They need Client Advocates and Ultrasound Techs who provide pregnancy tests, pregnancy consultations and ultrasound exams. They also need Momhood mentors, who work with 4-6 women helping them on their journey of becoming a mom. During worship next week we will take our Christmas Mission Offering. We will send that money directly to 9 missionaries that CCA supports as a special Christmas gift to them personally. Also, immediately following worship next week we will have a congregational meeting to vote on the recommendation by the Elders to hire Roy Meyer as the Senior Minister. This shelter provides a warm place for families to stay for the night. Families who are homeless and needing a place to stay for the night are referred by the AWAIC shelter and other city agencies. The shelter is overseen by Dave Kuiper and different churches in Anchorage staff a different night. They are looking for a church to take on one Tuesday night a month. We would provide 3-4 people to spend the night 8:00pm-7:00am at the shelter plus…

On Sunday, December 4, we will take a special offering during the worship service for the missionaries of the missions we support. We gift the missionaries a special monetary gift for Christmas that goes directly to them.

For Thanksgiving we are going to provide 10 laundry baskets for them to use for their food baskets.
