For Mother’s Day our Mission’s Committee will prepare some flowers to deliver to a senior care facility and give to women who may not have family visiting. They are looking for small, sturdy vases or pint-sized mason jars. If you have any you would like to donate to the church, please bring on Sunday, May 3. This month’s spotlighted mission is Greatland Christian Camp (GCC). GCC is preparing for another impactful summer season dedicated to honoring and glorifying God while providing a fun and safe environment for our youth. The camp’s mission is to win souls to faith in Jesus Christ, help the participants grow spiritually, and foster unity among all Christians throughout Alaska with purposeful educational and recreational activities in camp settings. Marlow Manor, an assisted living home in East Anchorage has asked if we would want to come and do something with the seniors living there. It could be playing an instrument, singing, play cards, telling stories, it could be just about anything. If you are interested let Mandy know.

The 2026 proposed budget will be available for you next Sunday. Then our congregational meeting is January 25.

On Sunday, December 7th, the Christian Church of Anchorage will be holding a special Christmas offering. Our goal is to raise $2500 to bless the missionary families we support. All funds collected will directly go to these dedicated individuals and their families as they spread the message of Christ around the world. Should we exceed our goal, any additional contributions will be directed to Boise Bible College, supporting the next generation of Christian leaders.

Our Mission’s Auction is fast approaching and we are hoping that you might be able to donate an item or service for our auction. The auction will be held after church on Sunday, Oct. 12th. We will have a potluck meal. Our fundraising will consist of a raffle, silent auction, dessert auction and live auction. We could use your service in the Children’s Ministry on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. Wednesdays nights would be with the Elementary class every other month starting in September as a helper to Deanna. Sundays you could help in the preschool or elementary in either the Sunday school at 10am or worship service at 11am. Jimmy Prophete, with Haitian Christian Mission and his mom Betty Prophete, will be here on Sunday, August 3rd to give an update on the mission as well as the church at Nan Plaiser in Haiti.
