Short Bio: Dr. Derek Voorhees has earned a Doctor of Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary (Dallas, TX), an M.Div. and M.A. from Lincoln Christian University (Lincoln, IL), and a B.A. from Ozark Christian College (Joplin, MO). He serves a doctoral dissertation project advisor for Portland Seminary of George Fox University (Portland, OR), an instructor at Asia International Seminary (Chiangmai, Thailand), and forwarding-agent for “Asians For Christ” (a non-profit organization that equips and evangelizes in S.E. Asia). After 23 years of ministerial leadership with several American churches, he joined the faculty of Boise Bible College in 2011 to teach in the New Testament area. Then in 2017, Derek transitioned roles to become the college’s 10th president. He has been married to his wife Nell for 33 years…together they have three children serving Christ and His Church in Colorado, South Carolina and Texas.
