This shelter provides a warm place for families to stay for the night. Families who are homeless and needing a place to stay for the night are referred by the AWAIC shelter and other city agencies.
The shelter is overseen by Dave Kuiper and different churches in Anchorage staff a different night. They are looking for a church to take on one Tuesday night a month. We would provide 3-4 people to spend the night 8:00pm-7:00am at the shelter plus provide a meal for about 20 people.
