Christmas can be the best time of year. I usually feel like I wish I could make the most of this wondrous season that passes too quickly. For some it is painful, because of family or loss. Maybe for all of us we can make some memories that will stick with us for a long time. Kelly and I have begun to think of ways to make this season delightful for us and for others. I want to pick a family or 2 and teach/take them snowshoeing. I was given a kids pair of snowshoes so let me know if you would like to try that. We plan to have the college kids make a Christmas decoration they will date and can hang on their tree and remember the event in time-to-come.
Would you join me in another memory – a Christmas devotional we will do together through YouVersion entitled “Family Christmas.” If most of the church did this together we can share our thoughts together and gain from one another. You can load the free App on the App store or go to our website where there is a link on our home page.
If you don’t have a smart phone or device, you can follow along on your computer at www.bible.com (create a login account so it saves your reading and highlights- use an email or a login name and password. I used the same name and password so it’s easy for me.
Then each day is a reading on the Family of Jesus our Lord. I will send out an invite later tonight that you can join as part of a group reading experience. We will start Friday. You could do this individually or as a family or with YouVersion friends from work or school. (have you invited work-friends or school-friends or neighbor-friends to join YouVersion?)
Making Christmas “the most wonderful time of the year.”
Experiencing joy, indescribable.
