Hello CCA?
This Sunday is Promise #3: You are an Heir of God. Here is the key verse: “And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory.” Romans 8.17 NLT.
My promise: I will live out of my inheritance not my circumstances.
Think about inheritance. Have you seen the bumper sticker on the RV that says, “I am spending my children’s inheritance?”
“You will never exhaust God’s resources. You will never be turned away. You have your place in his family. You come to God not as a stranger but as an heir to the promise. You can approach God‘s throne as a child of the king with full confidence.”
Pre-read these verses and request his resources tomorrow. 1 Chronicles 29.10-13; Romans 8.14-17; Joshua 1.1-9; Numbers 13.1,2 and Joshua 24.28.
What do you need? Hope, joy, assurance, greater faith? “Have you accepted that you are an adopted child of God, and are you ready to live out your inheritance? Or do you still need to believe that you have been adopted by God?”
Now to Him who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us Ephesians 3.20.
The 2 promises so far, that are our response to God’s promises: “I will embrace my role as God’s image bearer”; and, “I will acknowledge Satan but worship God.”
Here’s a thought to ponder for Sunday: What Promise and inheritance do you cling to most at this moment?
