This Sunday

This Sunday

Hello Church,

Memorial Day weekend is approaching.

Even if you will be out of town, don’t remain out of touch. We have stared a series of great value for you to keep up with, Unshakable Hope. Read chapter 3 “The Devil’s Days Are Numbered”. Unshakable Hope, by Max Lucado, is available on Amazon in hard copy or kindle. I put it on my phone for immediate and continual access.

If you missed last Sunday, the first lesson and promise is foundational. “I will embrace my role as God’s image bearer.” Taken from the first pages of scripture, “Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. Genesis 1:26 NLT

As you learn 12 promises in this series, remember this first and foundational promise of God: you were created by God, in God’s image, for God’s glory.

Embedded in these words is the most wonderful of promises: God made us to reflect the image of Himself; you are important; you are made for more. Don’t settle for inferior living.

What does it mean for you to be made in the image of God? How does this promise impact the way you look at yourself?

What does this promise say about the relationship God wants to have with you? What does being made in God’s image say about your value?

Here were my 3 points from Genesis 1:

You have Someone to live like. Something to live for. A world to make better.

“You have everything you need to be everything God desires. Divine resources have been deposited in you.

Need more patience? It’s yours. Need more joy? Ask for it. Running low on wisdom? God has plenty. Put in your order. Your father is rich!

People of the promise believe in the abundance of supernatural resources.

How often do you find yourself thinking, “I’m out of solutions,” or, “there’s no way this will work,” or, “I can’t fix this”? Understand your place in the family. You come to God not as a stranger but as an heir to the promise.”

Ask! Ask, my friend. God permits your requests; they come with adoption.

He will provide what you need to face the challenges of life.

So trust God’s great promises. Choose hope, not despair. You are a new person . . . live like one!

Read about the Devil’s undoing and our victory over his attacks. Matthew 4.1-11; Ephesians 6.10-18; 1 Peter 5.8,9; Romans 16.20; 1 John 4.4; James 4.7.

Join us at 10 am Sunday for a short video each week and discussion for joy in our walk with Christ.

Enjoying the King and His Family,
