Building anticipation for Easter

Hello CCA family, The best day on the calendar for Christians is Easter. How are you prepping to make Easter a bigger celebration than Christmas? Kelly and I have decorated for Easter, been reading YouVersion devotionals, had people over to pray during our fasting week. I’m trying to view Easter through the eyes of a child so I have a fresh excitement and awe. Sunday I gave you 2 sentences to direct your Easter prayers: Praying for our people that…

fasting and prayer #2

Hello CCA, What has God been speaking to you as you speak to him? Last night we prayed with 2 other people and the comment was made that it “seems more powerful as more pray for the same thing.” Jesus suggested that might happen when he said “where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, I am in your midst”. When God’s people pray for the same thing there is unity and singular purpose. In this case praying for…

starting fasting and prayer #1

Hello CCA, We are using this week as a church-wide time of fasting and prayer for Easter. My wife and I started this morning and I am looking forward to this time with you. I encouraged you to call a group of friends to meet with you in your home sometime this week and pray together. I hope you will do that. Let me know of your plans. There is nothing regulatory about this. You can fast a meal and…

Fasting and Prayer week starts

Pick a time to fast and pray – one meal, one day, 3 days, all week? Pray that God’s will is accomplished and more people will turn to him and repent and be saved. Ask people to meet with you and pray.

Your assistance is needed tomorrow

Hello Church, Wade and Rob have been working long hours in the church duplex and can use about 6 people to help tomorrow beginning about 10:30. Washing walls, skim-coating walls, help holding sheetrock up so it can be screwed to the bathroom walls, foaming in holes and some other details that will give us progress. Good instructions will be given so don’t feel like those are things you can’t do. You will learn a new skill ? If you can…

Did you know? Would you do?

Hello CCA? Did you know: 1/3 of the 4 books of the “Gospels” (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) are on the last week of Jesus, as he goes to the Cross and Rises from the grave on Easter Sunday Morning? You will hear Jesus say, “This is why I came.” Matthew begins that week in chapter 20 verse 17 through the end of his book in 28.20 with Commissioning his Apostles to let the world know what He has done…

New Sermon Series

There are 9 weeks from now until the zenith of our Faith-Easter. Jesus said “And this is the way to have eternal life–to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.” (Luke 17.3) But often we feel unsure about how to know Him and unsure about how to make Him known. Learning the 3 major themes of the whole Bible will help us know God and help us make Him known.
