Two years ago we were approached about going into Bowman to help mentor kids. Bowman is a school with 3 different schools within it, a neighborhood program, an open optional program, and structured learning program from Pre-K through 6th grade.
We have mentored in the school for 2 years, last year we did a big Back to School event at their school where we gave away backpacks with school supplies. This year we are going to do a breakfast for the teachers during one of their in-service days.
We want to bless Bowman school, the kids and teachers. To show them Jesus’ love by being the hands and feet of Jesus. If you are available you can mentor at Bowman this school year. It is during school hours. Your skills and interests can make a difference. Kids are selected, by their teachers, who need help academically and emotionally.
