your church’s plans to help reduce risk

Hello Church  There is maybe a response spectrum from Fear to ‘Forget It’. We are going to include a page, at the conclusion of this email, of adjustments that we are planning to implement. You can help Anchorage! Emotions can spiral when talking about COVID-19. Remaining calm and sticking with known facts may help someone who is not thinking clearly or speaking with emotional tones. This is a good time to use Proverbs 15.1 – “a gentle answer turns away…

peace in all storms

Hello Church  With all the discussion regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) around the world, we at CCA want you to help our church and community remain healthy, safe and avoid unnecessary risks. Teach your family members to wash their hands frequently and for at least 20 seconds using soap and water. Sing the ABC song twice or Happy Birthday twice. I heard a Christian artist who made a hand-washing song on K-LOVE. If soap and water are not available, use an…

doing everything in your power to see your kids safely to Heaven

Hello Church, I am still calculating the impact of conversations in the Mall during Fur Rondy. This one stood out uniquely: one lady, a touch older than I, said her mom took her to church when she was young, but she didn’t take her kids to church. I need to call that – Tragic! She was very pleasant. I had a great conversation with her. But how can you follow-through in doing nothing for the Spiritual shaping of your kids…

news

Hello CCA  Anchorage, 1 degree. Prepare but don’t panic! SUNDAY Romans chapter 8 has been a clear and comforting chapter for generations and generations of Christians over the years. Today, it is the GPS map for our hope and daily walk with Jesus. It shows destination, way-points and provides course corrections to assure our arrival. There are four things in this chapter that are wonderful: There is no condemnation. There is no sin that overpowers you. God has surprising good…

visit the table

Good morning church, Please feel welcomed to visit the table we will have in the Mid Town Mall starting today. “There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me.” 1 Corinthians 16:9 NLT Pray that God will bring people to the table in whom His Spirit has already been working. Remember, God wants them even more than you do. There are people just on the verge of becoming your next Brother and Sister in Christ.…

have we missed it all these years?

Hello CCA  Have you thrown a snowball with all this good “snowball” / “snowman” snow we were buried under? It’s like “make lemonade out of lemons?” Have you recognized that Jesus gave only one call. “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men (I will make you into something I want you to be).”  Has the church allowed people to think they can make God a counter-offer? “How about if You promise me heaven and I promise to be…

willing to die

Hello Church I have been helping us prepare to share (faith, grace, forgiveness, eternal life…) with people during Fur Rondy. What a platform! People from the corners of Anchorage, people from the villages of Alaska, people from other nations. These are descending on our city. We don’t even have to travel. While preparing myself, additional to you, I have been listening to the Lee Strobel’s The Case for Christ. Wednesday night, tomorrow, we will have a crash course on the last…

This will be good for new Christians, mature Christians and those wondering about Christ. It…

Hello CCA  We have a surprising opportunity open to us this year. The Anchorage Fur Rendezvous draws crowds from the city, from villages throughout Alaska and even International visitors. Here are some of the materials we will make available to people: Copies of our 9 session Discipling Guide with a sign…
