Why it is important to attend Marriage Night:
The period following a wedding “the honeymoon phase” is temporary.
What is marriage supposed to look like when those initial bursts of
excitement give way to everyday troubles and routines? Marriage Night
is an opportunity for you to gain principles for a lasting relationship
while challenging you to see the greater purpose for marriage, namely,
to glorify God and advance his gospel.
President, Right Now Media
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost nineteen years. No, we didn’t get married in high school. But on the first Saturday after college graduation we stood at the altar exchanging vows.
Now in our early forties, we have four great kids and the busy schedules that come with them. Between church activities, sports practices, music lessons, homework, and school functions, life is always on the move. But even in the busyness of life, we try to keep our marriage a priority.
Whether you’re newlyweds or veterans, you know that a happy and healthy marriage takes work. It doesn’t happen by accident.
We plug in our phones every night to charge. We put gas in our cars every week. But are we regularly refueling our marriages?
Our RightNow Media team decided to launch Marriage Night as one way for couples to dedicate time to focus on what God has for their marriage. It’s a one night event packed with laughter and lessons you can apply immediately to your own marriage.
We’ll be hearing from two great couples—Francis and Lisa Chan and Les and Leslie Parrott—with standup from comedian Michael Jr. And if you can’t make it to the live event in Dallas, we’ll be streaming Marriage Night to churches across North America and around the world.
As a host site, you have a tremendous opportunity to impact your church and community with Marriage Night. We believe the mission of the church matters, and we know that the mission reaches far beyond the walls of your building into the homes and families of the church. We want to provide a forum for you to encourage your congregation to live out their marriages in a biblical, sanctifying way.
Thank you for joining us as we expand further into this new territory by serving the church through livestream events. We greatly appreciate your partnership in this endeavor. Our prayer is that these events lead to life-changing transformation, and that they bless your organization and community for years to come.
